Day 6-London Eye and Concerts

Today we started our day with a visit to the London Eye.  The weather was perfect for some excellent views of London.  Next, we ventured to the Borough Food Market for lunch.  This dynamic spot was full of wonderful food, delightful smells, and people....lots and lots of people!  The market was conveniently located next to Southwark Cathedral where the students played an amazing concert for a very appreciative audience.  Special visitors included relatives or close family friends to four of our students!  The Cathedral was a spectacular place to perform.  The rich history of the building combined with the unique sound of playing in such a cavernous space resulted in lasting memories for all.
We ended the evening with a farewell dinner and trip to the Royal Albert Hall for a concert by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.  The concert featured music of the James Bond films.  We learned just how much the British love James Bond films!  Our evening concluded with a trip on the tube...Mind the Gap!
Now everyone is frantically trying to fit all of their belongings back into the suitcase with a "few" additional items they purchased while in London.  We have had a wonderful trip, but we look forward to seeing family and friends tomorrow.  Please note that a Remind notification will go out when we leave London, when we land in Chicago, and when we depart for Indianapolis.  If you did not register for Remind, please look at the pre-trip blogs posts to find instructions on how to register.
For our return tomorrow, please remember to park in the actual parking spaces at door 24,  leaving the drive area open for the coaches.
Have a great evening, and we will see you tomorrow!
